Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport, followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley towards the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, you will enjoy panoramic views and a brief stop at a viewpoint before continuing to the reserve. Upon arrival in Maasai Mara, you will proceed to your lodge or tented camp for lunch and a short rest.

In the afternoon, you will head out for your first game drive across the vast savannah plains of the Maasai Mara. This reserve is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. As the sun sets over the plains, the golden light creates perfect photography moments before you return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, you will spend the entire day exploring the Maasai Mara on extended game drives. With a picnic lunch, you will venture deep into the reserve, increasing your chances of spotting the Big Five and witnessing predator-prey interactions. The Mara River area is particularly famous for large concentrations of wildlife and dramatic crossings during the migration season.

Throughout the day, your experienced safari guide will share insights about the ecosystem, animal behavior, and Maasai culture. In the late afternoon, you will return to your lodge or camp for relaxation, followed by dinner and overnight amidst the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park – Nairobi

After breakfast, you will depart the Maasai Mara and travel towards Lake Nakuru National Park, passing through scenic countryside and the Great Rift Valley floor. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a game drive around the alkaline lake and surrounding woodlands. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos, diverse birdlife, and as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. You may also spot Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and leopards within the park.

After the game drive, you will begin your return journey to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your memorable 3 Days Maasai Mara & Lake Nakuru Safari from Nairobi.
